It's a know issue that SynetoOS protections fail when the hypervisor has local snapshots for the related vm. In this scenario, you may receive an email notification for the event similar to:


The ESXi local snapshots are not a result of SynetoOS task

How to delete ESXi local snapshot

Step 1: Access ESXi Web UI

Step 2: Access Snapshots panel for the VM

  • From the Virtual Machine dashboard, right click on your VM and from the Snapshot menù access Manage snapshot

Step 3: Delete snapshot

  • Select the snapshot and from the tool bar proceed to Delete snapshot
  • If you have more then one snapshot you can select Delete all
