To mount SMB shares on a Linux client, type the following command:

mount -t cifs -vvv -o sec=ntlmv2,credentials=/mnt/secret.txt //IP/share /mnt/test


  • "secret.txt" is the file containing connection credentials;
  • "IP/share" is the share you want to mount;
  • "mnt/test" is where you want to mount it;
