Applies to:

    - SynetoOS 4.7.0 and above

    - VMware ESXi 6.7 and above


If during initial configuration appear the Error:



A specified parameter was not correct: DnsConfig.VirtualNicDevice


Login with the default credentials (user: "root", password: "Syneto.Default1") in VMware web GUI.


Go to Networking → "TCP/IP stack" → "Default TCP/IP stack", Click on “Default TCP/IP stack”, Click Edit.




and edit the following parameter:

  • Change the field Primary DNS server with "1.1.1.1 or another working DNS address"

  • Add a "Domain name" and "Search domains" and save it
